Traveling means unlimited hunger.

No matter if you are driving a car or flying; on a trip, hunger can hit you hard anytime. But what if you stop anywhere on the highway from the numerous fast food options available? You will finally kill the long-going diet for months and tamper with your health, wouldn't you?

Instead, how about packing some travel-worthy healthy snacks on every trip you go? There would be no need to spend bucks buying food on the highway, plus you and your family members will eat nutritious food. In this article, we have given out the names of five healthy snacks to take along while traveling.

Happy traveling and eating!

1. Brownie Muffins

You would argue how brownies are healthy? Well, let us convince you. You are right. The regular brownies aren't very healthy. But you can make anything beneficial by just tweaking the ingredients. So let's start. Ditch all-purpose or plain flour for almond flour to make your brownie muffins gluten and grain-free.

Use coconut oil instead of butter. Also, replace white sugar with coconut sugar and cocoa powder with dark chocolate powder. Rest, bake the brownies as you always do. For an additional health punch, you can infuse cbd products and you can try the best online weed dispensary and pack it along with you.

The good thing about these healthy muffins is that they taste delicious, too. A top-secret - don't share the recipe with your kids. Just let them have these muffins, and you will know how convincing and a healthy snack it is for your trips.

2. Whole-grain Pasta or Quinoa Salad

We have the healthiest and tastiest dessert with us. Then, how about having something equally nutritious in the meal, too? Consider whole-grain pasta salad, for instance. Pull out your favorite spiral pasta, cook them as directed, and keep them in the refrigerator for a while.

In a pan, saute dry walnuts for about two minutes and let it cool. Toss together the chilled pasta, walnuts, feta cheese, onion, and spinach. Prepare a whisk of oil, vinegar, garlic, and mustard to pour over the pasta. Your pasta salad is ready to go!

Another excellent substitute for pasta salad is quinoa salad. It is a crisp, refreshing, and delicious salad made with fresh cucumber, red bell pepper, red onion, parsley, chickpeas, garlic, olive oil, and lemon dressing. You can prepare this salad in as short as ten minutes and take it anywhere with you on a trip.

3. Green Chutney Sandwich

Are you looking for a better option than street food items? Grab a green chutney sandwich. You only need a few buttered bread slices, cheese (optional), and green chutney to prepare this sandwich. You can easily learn to prepare green chutney with this recipe and use it as a dip with multiple food items other than sandwiches. This zesty sandwich is a perfect companion on a trip as it remains fresh for at least 4 to 5 hours if packed in an air-tight container.

4. Diced Fresh Fruits

Nothing is healthier than fruits and vegetables. And there's no better way to carry fresh fruits other than slicing them before you kickstart your trip. Even when tired on a trip, eating fruits can help you feel the energy back. Not only do fruits suffice your appetite but also keep you away from all the junk food cravings. Plus, no one would deny having fruits. We mean, who doesn't love eating fruits, huh?

Following are a few fruits recommended to take on a trip:

  • Kiwi
  • Melon
  • Apples
  • Bananas
  • Oranges
  • Grapes
  • Strawberries

5. Vegetable Chips

Like fresh fruits, you can always chop vegetables and make a salad of your choice to pack for the journey. However, we have got something else on our minds. What do you think of making fine and thin vegetable chips? Mouthwatering, isn't it? Vegetable chips made at home are far healthier than potato chips or french fries.

For ease, you can make out a huge batch of vegetable chips at your home and use them daily, as well as pack them on trips. For this, you have to uniform slices of vegetables from anything like carrots, beetroots, bananas, or parsnips. Also, kale, spinach, chard, collard greens, beet greens, and dandelion greens are also a few go-to options.

Conclusion

By the time you take your first turn, everyone will start begging for food in the car. While you get pretty few healthy food options on the plane, the unhealthy food might come with unhealthy prices, too! And don't even get us started on the hotels where you get only two options - vending machines or the in-house junk food restaurants!

To save yourself from all these junk food troubles, you should carry along a few healthy snacks. In the worst case, if you didn't pack anything from home or are left with no snacks when you reach your hotel, visit the nearest supermarket and buy something healthy, like fruits, pre-cut veggies or baby carrots, dry roasted nuts, Greek yogurt, whole-grain cereal, and milk.
