Journey:
Personal highlights
- Chefchaouen: founded as a small fortress and grown through multicultural immigrants from Spain
- The Blue City: either to keep the mosquitos away or to bring heaven down to earth by Jewish immigrants
- How to get there: Marrakech to Chefchaoeun Tour via Sahara desert & Fes (amazing 6-day trip)
- Place Outa el Hammam: big central square with a beautiful Kasbah and Mosque, where all the life plays
- Tourism: this city is a true marvel, already being overrun by tourists and filled with dorky souvenir shops
- Souvenir: instead of buying something, I guarded a shop while the innkeeper was praying in the Mosque
