  1. Manila Cathedral: founded in 1571, current building was only completed in 1958
  2. Full Name: Minor Basilica and Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception
  3. Plaza de Roma: green square in front of the Cathedral with an interesting arts exhibition
  4. Religion: 80% of all Filipinos are Catholic, that is more than Switzerland (70% Christians)
  5. Intramuros: Manila's old city, surrounded by a thick wall and defensive fortifications
