Personal highlights
- Pate Island: totally untouristic and rather remote island in the Indian Ocean
- Pate Town: pretty well-built houses without any traces of modernity or luxery
- Inhabitants: living in very poor conditions, woman are shy and men are curious
- Old Town: crumbling ruins of old Arabic houses, with many stories and tales
- Chinese: there are many, yet unproven reports of ancient Chinese travelers
